This Privacy Policy explains how JKM Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use RouteFact (the “Application”). RouteFact is a visual quiz about road signs, driving culture, and travel clues worldwide.

The Application does not require registration and does not ask you to provide personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location. However, the Application uses third-party services for analytics, attribution, and push notifications, which may collect certain information automatically as described below.

Interpretation and Definitions

Definitions

  • Application refers to RouteFact.
  • Company refers to JKM Studio.
  • Device means any device capable of running the Application.
  • Personal Data means information that identifies an individual. RouteFact does not require you to provide Personal Data (such as your name or email) to use the core features.
  • Usage Data means technical and interaction information that may be collected automatically through integrated third-party services (for example, app interaction events and device/app information).

Information We Collect

Personal Data

RouteFact does not require registration and does not ask you to provide Personal Data such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or microphone data. RouteFact does not request location permissions and does not collect precise location.

Some builds may include platform or framework components that declare background/foreground execution capabilities (including a service type labeled as “location”) for compatibility or future extensibility. RouteFact does not use these components to access your location. If a future feature explicitly requires location, it will require your permission and this policy will be updated.

User-Selected Media

The Application may include optional framework modules that support user-selected media (for example, choosing an image through the system picker and optional cropping).

The Application does not automatically access your photo library or stored media. Media is accessed only if you explicitly choose a file through the system picker. Selected media is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to us.

Automatically Collected Data

RouteFact may collect certain information automatically through integrated third-party services. This may include:

  • Android Advertising ID / AdServices attribution signals (used for install attribution and measurement)
  • App instance identifiers
  • App interaction events (such as app opens and notification opens)
  • Basic device and app information (app version, OS version, language)

This data is used for analytics, attribution of app installs, and delivery of push notifications. The Application does not display ads.

Local Storage

RouteFact may store limited app data locally on your Device to provide basic functionality, such as:

  • quiz progress and completed questions
  • preferences (for example: language or sound settings)
  • temporary cache (if used to improve loading performance)

This data stays on your Device and is not transmitted to us.

Permissions

RouteFact may request limited permissions required for core functionality, network access, and notifications. Permissions are used only when needed and only in response to an action you take in the app.

  • INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to connect to required services (analytics, attribution, notifications) and to determine basic connectivity state.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to show push notifications (optional; you can deny this permission).
  • WAKE_LOCK / FOREGROUND_SERVICE — to ensure reliable delivery/processing of notifications and background tasks when required by the Android system.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to restore scheduled notification-related tasks after device reboot (if enabled by the system/app configuration).
  • Advertising ID / AdServices Attribution (AD_ID / AdServices) — used for install attribution and analytics measurement. The Application does not display ads.

Data shared with these services is limited to what is necessary for analytics, attribution, and push notification delivery.

Data Sharing

RouteFact does not sell user data. Data may be shared only with the third-party services listed above and solely for analytics, attribution, and push notification delivery purposes.

Children’s Privacy

RouteFact is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, please contact us.

Security

Data transmitted by the Application is encrypted in transit using standard security mechanisms provided by the Android platform and integrated services. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, if RouteFact features or data practices change). Updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
